Mayor Joseph M. DiBella

Joe is a graduate of Seton Hall University, with a degree in political science and history.
Joe is one of the youngest persons ever elected to the Board of Education in the town in which he grew up. He was first elected at 22 years old.
Joe was elected Councilman in the town in which he grew up and again was one of the youngest elected to this post.
Joe and his wife selected Howell to start their family and moved to Howell in 1998. He was elected to the Howell Council in 2002, and was most recently elected and inaugurated as Howell’s mayor January 1, 2004.
Joe is a Vice President in the Employee Benefits Division of Commerce Insurance Services. In his professional role he serves a health benefits consultant working with major national companies in the design and financing of their employee benefit coverage.
Prior to joining Commerce Insurance, Joe spent 14 years with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey as a Senior Account Manager leading their national account business.
